Up until the end of 2023, when the licensing agreement [https://ca.jackpotcitycasinoapp.ca/](https://ca.jackpotcitycasinoapp.ca/) expired, this casino — located next to Highway 1 and near Coquitlam’s IKEA — was known as Hard Rock Casino Vancouver. “Great Canadian Casino Vancouver has long been an important contributor to the Coquitlam economy, and we’re committed to ensuring those benefits continue,” Simpson said. Snuneymuxw Chief Mike Wyse says the acquisition of the new casino marks another step toward "economic self-determination" for the nation, strengthening their financial independence and restoring an economy that thrived for thousands of years.
